Caption: Drawing by F. Vaux Wileon, 1934, depicting ONRUST exploring the Connecticut River near the present site of Hartford, in 1614. She may have been the first ship built in America. Commanded by Adriaen Block, she was used to explore Long Island Sound and the Connecticut River for Dutch commercial purposes.
