Caption: Hong Kong Business Section. This photo made by a photographer from an Essex Class Carrier 16 January 1945 is one of the best that has been taken of the business section of Victoria, Hong Kong Island, since the Japanese occupation. Although ships in the Harbor have been damaged by the strike, the thickly congested business buildings appear to be undamaged. Principal target of that day was Taikoo Dock Yard which the Japanese have been using for repair work and refitting. Hong Kong is one of the most important Japanese-held seaports in all China.
