NH 119231 The USS TICONDEROGA

The USS TICONDEROGA
Title: The USS TICONDEROGA
Caption: Lieu Comdr Roland E. Krause, U.S.N. - After reading the article under discussion my attention was drawn to the photographs which were intended to accompany the subject matter. In particular. I noted under the picture on page 179 U.S. Naval institute Feb, 1939. The words Its Occupants were forced to hold up their hands at the point of revolver. One glance sufficed to show that these words did not agree with the picture, for only one man, the coxswain, has one hand raised and he looks more as if he were hailing the submarine or acknowledge receipt of an order. Moreover in the article the author states that only one man in the boat was unwounded, whereas all the men in this picture appear to be hale and hearty
