Caption: This is the main beach exit from "Green number Two," Okinawa, seen from the Sixth Division CP. The CP is already pulling up stakes to move to a new position just beyond Yon Tan airfield since the infantry has now pushed a few miles beyond it against light opposition. Here are the growing mounds of shells stacked up in piles and streams of men and amtracks bound for the front. There are also scenes of batteries of amtracks mounting 75 howitzers and homeless civilians carting off belongings.
