Description: (Japanese Destroyer, 1926-1942) Beached in Purvis Bay, Florida Island, Solomon Islands, in 1944. She had been sunk on 4 May 1942, when USS Yorktown (CV-5) planes raided the Tulagi area, and was salvaged by the U.S. Navy in 1943. Number 23 on her bow represents the 23rd Destroyer Division, to which Kikuzuki belonged when she was sunk. Official U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the U.S. National Archives.color
