Photo #: 19-N-25207 USS Argonne
Title: USS Argonne
Description: (AG-31) At the Pearl Harbor Navy Yard on 11 August 1941 during a refit. The ship is painted in Measure One camouflage and is flying signal flags showing her hull number, G31. The four-piper destroyers (or destroyer minelayer/destroyer minesweeper conversions) in the left background are also in Measure One camouflage, with haze grey masts and funnel tops. Note the boats alongside Argonne: open motor launches at left disembarking enlisted men, and an enclosed officers' motor boat moored to the boat boom amidships.
