Description: (ID # 2586) In port, possibly when inspected by the Fifth Naval District on 8 April 1918. This large Dutch cargo and passenger ship was in commission from 2 April 1918 until she was lost in collision with the Army transport San Jacinto (ID # 1531) on 11 July 1918. She has no neutrality markings but displays the funnel markings of her Dutch owner, the Holland America Line. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
