Carney, U.S. Third Fleet Chief of Staff, on 30 August 1945. Official U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the U.S. National Archives. The original 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 color transparency had become rather purple. This color shift has been somewhat corrected in this reproduction.
