Title: Attack on a German submarine
Caption: Coordinated attack by two VB-128 PV-1s from Iceland in 62° 04' N, 28° 22' W. Pilot Lieutenant junior grade Claude R. Parent, dropped first, with two Mk44 depth bombs which struck astern of the submarine. Lieutenant Robert D. Bonnell then delivered two more Mk. 44s, which exploded about 40' to starboard, between conning tower and stern. However, it was believed that the U-Boat escaped.
