The 5,500 man infantry unit arrived in September and took up positions un along the coast of central Vietnam in the areas of NHA Trang, Tuy Hao and Cam Ranh. it is the second Division sent by the Republic of Korea to help Vietnam's Defense against communist aggression, other countries with troops serving in South Vietnam are Australia New Zealand, The philippines and the U.S.
