Caption: Pilots relax on board USS ENTERPRISE (CV-6), about the time of the Halsey-Doolittle Raid on Tokyo, April 1942. The squadron was embarked to replace Scouting Squadron Six, which had suffered heavy losses in the early war period; four of these men were in fact on temp duty from Scouting six. ROBERTS (APD-94), COONER (DE-172), LOUGH (DE-586), PEIFFER (DE-588) and O'FLAHERTY (DE-340).
