Caption: This emblem, seen here as an embroidered patch, was adopted in 1965. Its red and blue shield symbolizes the Navy-Marine Corps amphibious team. The diagonal band with five stars is taken from the seal of Duluth, Minnesota. The motto is translated "bold in action."
