Caption: Passing through the Gatun locks, Panama Canal, on 21 April 1946, after being turned over to China by the U.S. Navy. Two ships in foreground are: YUNG SHUN, ex USS LOGIC (AM-258) and YUNG HSIANG, (later renamed WEI YUAN) ex USS PCE-869. Ships are flying Chinese flags, but still wear U.S. Navy hull numbers.
