Description: Collection consists of both Navy and personal photos (family, vacations, etc.) & memorability (holiday cards to the admiral). There are a large amount of Admiral Land portraits spanning several decades as well as various events, meetings, & parties. There are some very good early football photos at both the Naval Academy and onboard USS Oregon. Photos of note include: USS Florida under construction at the NY Navy Yard, 1900; Assistant Secretary of the Navy Theodore D. Robinson inspecting crew at NAS Coco Solo, Canal Zone, 1926; early Naval Academy cadets; holiday card from Government House, Ottawa, 1943 with photo President Roosevelt and signature; & Admiral Land with Chairman of the Maritime Commission, Joseph P. Kennedy, 1938
