February 1975 - Mauritius (Cyclone Gervaise)

After Cyclone Gervaise hit Mauritius, USS Camden (AOE-2) began relief operations on February 9.   Other U.S. Navy ships also aided stricken island:  USS Enterprise (CVAN-65), USS Long Beach (CGN-9), and USS Mars (AFS-1).   Enterprise's crew rendered assistance in restoring water, power, and telephone systems, clearing roads and debris, and provided helicopter, medical, food, and potable water support to the stricken areas.
