Hawaii Homefront 1941

This educational PDF booklet details what life was like in Hawaii during World War II from a kid's eye view!   The activities will make one think about different sacrifices and challenges a family might face living on the front lines of the American Home Front.  Subjects include:   Hawaiian life in 1941; Hawaiian words; the Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor; changes on the island after the attack; heroes on the homefront; U.S. Navy ships shipping out; activity on censoring a letter; activites on baking and making do with less; USO shows; and Hawaiian life today.
