September 20, 1952 - Off Chinese coast

A P4Y-2S aircraft, from VP-28, was attacked by two Chinese MiG-15s off the coast of China.  The aircraft returned safely to Naha, Okinawa.  Note, P4Y-2S aircraft were previously designated PB4Y-2S "Privateer" and were redesignated in 1951.   

November 23, 1952 - Shanghai, China

A P4Y-2S aircraft, from VP-28, was attacked by a Chinese MiG-15 off Shanghai, China, resulting in no damage to the aircraft.  

July 8, 1953 - Nantien, China

A P2V-5 aircraft from VP-1 was fired upon by anti-aircraft artillery near Nantien, China, resulting in no damage to the aircraft.  

June 12, 1957 - Coast of China

AD-6 "Skyraider" aircraft from VA-145 based on board USS Hornet (CVA-12) were fired upon by anti-aircraft artillery as they overflew Chinese airspace.  One AD-6 received slight damage.
