Miss Anne II (S. P. 657)

Miss Anne II (S. P. 657) was built by E. S. Thibault of Jacksonville, Fla., in 1916; purchased by the Navy from her owner, M. Corse of Jacksonville, 21 June 1917; delivered 3 July 1917; and commissioned 7 July 1917, Ens. Waldemar Neilson, USNRF, in command.

Assigned to the 6th Naval District, Charleston, S.C., Miss Anne II carried out coastal patrols while based at the section base at Jacksonville. Following the end of World War I, she was transferred to the Coast Guard 13 June 1919 for duty with the Coast and Geodetic Survey.
