To support this mission, the U.S. Navy arranged for Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB-133) to provide initial engineering support and also deployed U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 tilt rotor-aircraft from Spain to Liberia. The Naval Medical Research Center also set up two mobile laboratories to assist in the epidemic. Liberia was finally declared virus free in June 2016.
