Crossing the Rhine
In March 1945, the U.S. Navy assisted the U.S. Army to cross the Rhine river by transporting Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel (LCVPs) and Landing Craft, Mechanized (LCMs) hundreds of miles inland to achieve this goal. This hardwork by the U.S. Navy helped to achieve victory in Germany a few months later.
