Lot 11597-4:  Tehran Conference, November-December 1943.   The presentation of the Stalingrad sword in the reception room of the Russian embassy.  Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Marshal Josef Stalin, hand upraised, during the playing of the Russian national anthem.  Anthony Eden is behind the Prime Minister; Stalin is flanked by General Voroshilov (right) and Foreign Minister Molotov, (left).  The sword was presented to the people of Stalingrad as a token of the regard and admiration of the British people for the gallant defense of the city. Note, V. M.
