80-G-49885:   German V-2 Rocket being shown by the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C.   This bomb measured 45’ in length and was captured intact near Nordhausen, Germany.  Rear Admiral Willard A. Kitts explains the details of the tail mechanism which controls the bomb while in flight.   Photograph released July 10, 1945.
