80-G-702770: V-2 Rocket at White Sands Proving Ground, New Mexico, 1946

80-G-702770:  U.S. Navy will send miniature lab in the warhead of a V-2 rocket 100 miles in the air to explore the atmosphere on June 27th at White Sand Proving Ground, Las Cruces, New Mexico.  The flight will take 6 minutes and the data will be radioed down to Earth.  This project will be in collaboration with Army ordnance engineers.
