<p>80-G-442935: Surrender of German U-boats, 1945. German submarine, U-3008, at sea. She was renamed USS U-3008 in August 1945. Rear view of snorkell on the submarine while at Naval Air Station, Key West, Florida, July 25, 1947. She was scuttled in 1954 but was raised a year later and sold for scrap. Official U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives. (2015/07/08).</p>
