70th Anniversary of the Inchon Landing

The National Museum of the United States Navy is proud to honor the teamwork, planning, and seapower dominance that lead to resounding victory 70 years ago, at Inchon, Republic of Korea.  The success of the 15 September 1950 amphibious landing led supreme commander Gernarl of the Army Douglas MacArthur to state, "The Navy and Marines have never shown more brightly than this morning."   We hope that the Museum's efforts to commemorate these stories of service, valor, and sacrifice, will serve to inspire today's Sailors, Marines, and the American public, and remind them of the deep debt of gratitude owed to those who served our nation during the Korean War.
