80-G-42561: Battle of Santa Cruz Islands, 26 October 1942. Scene from the flight deck of USS Enterprise (CV 6). Lurching to the edge of the flight deck as a result of a near miss by a Japanse bomb, this US Navy plane finally halts just before plunging into a gun gallery. Note, a member of the crew hitting the deck in order to avoid the swerving wings of the plane. (8/13/2014).
