80-G-20703:  Guadalcanal Campaign, August 1942-February 1943.   Pagoda, used by headquarters for Marine and Navy fliers at Henderson Field, Guadalcanal Island.  After surviving numerous Japanese bombings, the building was torn down following a near miss which rendered it useless as a shelter. U.S. Navy photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.  (2015/11/17).
