111-SC-25758AC:   Doolittle Raid on Japan, April 18, 1942.  Major General James Doolittle’s Tokyo Raiders are grouped outside the shelter carved from the mountainside.  They lived there for 10 days after assembling from their Chinese Mountain retreats.      U.S. Army photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.  (2017/05/02).
