Second Sino-Japanese War

The Second Sino-Japanese War, from July 7, 1937 to August 8, 1945, was fought between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan.   When the United States entered World War II following Japan's attacks on Pearl Harbor and other Pacific islands, the war was merged as part of the Pacific War.
