U.S. Naval Air Station:  Queenstown, Ireland

The U.S. Naval Air Station at Queenstown, Ireland, was established in February 1918, with Lieutenant Commander Paul J. Peyton in command.   The station served as the assembly and repair station for all naval air stations in Ireland.   The south coast station in County Cork was disestablished in April 1919.
