U.S. Naval Air Station: France: Le Croisic

U.S. Naval Air Station:  Le Croisic, France

The U.S. Naval Air Station at Le Croisic, France was established on an island at the mouth of the Loire River in November 1917 to fly combat patrols.    Lieutenant William M. Corry, USN established the western France location.   He later received the Medal of Honor in 1920.    The station was disestablished in January 1919.
