U.S. Army Forces

This section houses imagery related to the U.S. Army, nicknamed the "doughboys", who began to arrive in June 1917 to join the American Expeditionary Forces and eventually rose to over a million soldiers by May 1918.   Their heroic efforts led to Armistice on November 11, 1918.
