Recruit Graduation Livestream

Don’t have a ticket to recruit graduation? Join us here at the National Museum of the American Sailor each morning of Navy bootcamp graduation to watch a livestream of the ceremony! The livestream viewing is a perfect opportunity to watch the ceremony and celebrate the United States Navy’s newest sailors.

Livestream Viewing Ticket Information:

While this event is free, tickets are required to attend the livestream viewing. Tickets may be picked up between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday and Thursday prior to gradaution. Remaining tickets will be distributed beginning at 8:00 AM on Friday morning. This pickup policy will be in place until Friday, September 29, 2023.

Important Update: Starting the first week of October recruit graduation will be switching to Thursday mornings. Livestream ticket pickup times will also shift to reflect this change. Meaning, tickets may be picked up between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday prior to graduation. Remaining tickets will be distributed beginning at 8:00am on Thursday morning.

Ticket reservations cannot be made via phone or email. Due to the popularity of this event and to ensure that the greatest number of visitors can watch the livestream, the maximum of tickets that can be picked up by an individual is 4 tickets. If you have not arrived by 9:00 AM, you will forfeit your ticket.

The ticket pickup is at the following location:

National Museum of the American Sailor, 2531 Sheridan Road, Great Lakes, IL 60088.

Admission to the Museum Livestream Viewing:

Museum doors will open at 8:00 AM on the morning of graduation. Livestream viewing begins at 8:45 AM. As the museum is located on an active military installation, please avoid lining up outside of the doors before the museum opens. Upon entry into the museum, a bag check is required. Food and drink are allowed while viewing graduation, but is not allowed in museum exhibits.

If attending the livestream viewing, please familiarize yourself with the museum's Security Guidelines.

The museum is a viewing location of the livestream. Anyone can view the livestream from their personal device by visiting Recruit Training Command's Facebook or YouTube page. The museum works to correct technical difficulties to the best of our abilities, but cannot be responsible for all disruptions in the livestream viewing.
