The National Museum of the American Sailor is pleased to announce the opening of its newest exhibit, “When Baseball Went to War.” This exhibit explores the history of Navy baseball from its earliest years through World War II, with a special emphasis on the role that Naval Station Great Lakes played in the development of naval baseball.

The National Museum of the American Sailor invites military and civilian families to attend a free educational activity titled, “Camouflage on the High Seas: Razzle Dazzle” on June 24, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Museum’s Theatre.

1963 - USS Daniel Webster (SSBN 626) is launched at Groton, Conn. Commissioned a year later, she serves until decommissioned in August 1990.
