Naval history is rich in many ways including tattoos. They have been a part of the Navy for centuries and each one tells a story. Sailors get them for different reasons, at different places on their bodies, and done in different styles. Using a tattoo kit from the National Museum of the American Sailor's collection, curator Kelly duffy will discuss the ways in which tattoos and Navy culture intertwine, are part of Navy traditions, and the many styles of Navy tattoos.
