Drum roll please.. the National Museum of the American Sailor is proud to share taht we've received a 10 Year Anniversary Award from the Illinois Association of Museums.
While we were originally founded in 1991 as the Great lakes Naval History Museum, it was in 2014 when the Secretary of the Navy renamed us as the National Museum of the American Sailor; broadening our scope to cover all enlisted Sailors regardless of where they attended boot camp.
A huge thank you to all of the supporters we've had over the years and cheers to many more!
