Caption: During Operation Flankspeed, Sailors of River Section 542 captured this sampan twenty miles from Saigon on August 14, 1968. Navy personnel searched for Viet Cong activity using small boats, called PBRs when needed. Two other sampans were destroyed and six enemies were killed on the day the boat was captured.
