School Programs
The Puget Sound Navy Museum is committed to helping school districts, teachers, and students incorporate the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards into school programs. All PSNM learning experiences use specific, standards-based content to encourage and engage students in problem solving and critical thinking.
Program Cost: All visits and programs are FREE

Required Chaperone Ratio: 1 chaperone for every 5 students
Maximum Group size: 50-60 students per visit.*

Navy STEM Days
Navy STEM Days is a partnership between the Puget Sound Navy Museum, Naval Undersea Museum, the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility, and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center – Division Keyport. It has been designed to foster creative STEM learning in students in grades 4-6. Students rotate through four STEM-based stations during this full day field trip.

Robots vs. Machines
Add a workshop to your museum visit! Explore the differences between Robots and Machines in this hands-on, one-hour program. Self-guided museum visit time not included.

Simple Machines
Add a workshop to your museum visit! Learn about the different types of simple machines by building a model and finding examples from the museum’s exhibits. Program is one-hour in addition to self-guided museum visit time.
