Caption: A photograph of E-1B Tracers of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 11 spotted on the deck of the aircraft carrier Hornet (CVS 12) in June 1969 show details of the radomes on the airplanes. A month after the shooting of this image, Hornet served as the recovery ship for Apollo XI, the mission that landed the first astronauts on the Moon.
