Caption: The AM-1 Mauler (Bureau Number 122397) now on display in the museum pictured in the foreground of a two-plane formation demonstrating the ordnance load the aircraft was capable of carrying. In April 1949, the museum’s display aircraft set an unofficial record for a single-engine aircraft by carrying a 10,689 lb. load aloft.
