Caption: An A6M5 Zero fighter captured during combat operations in the Pacific and returned to the United States pictured in flight. Also called the Model 52, this version of the Zero was faster than its predecessors and reached operational squadrons in late 1943, which coincided with the introduction of the F6F Hellcat to combat operations.
