Description: (French Destroyer, 1937) Photographed after 1 April 1939, when the pennant number X61 was painted on her hull. The apparent camouflage scheme of dark hull and lighter superstructure indicates that the photo was taken after the outbreak of World War II, circa later 1939 or early 1940. The original print came from the Office of Naval Intelligence. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
