A chief of the Ute tribe in the 19th century; a town in Utah.

The name Santaquin was assigned to YTB-824 on 16 February 1972. Construction of the tug was started on 20 January 1972 by the Marinette Marine Corp., Marinette, Wise., and she was commissioned in September 1973.
