LST-1031

LST-1031 was laid down on 27 May 1944 at the Boston Navy Yard; launched on 25 June 1944; sponsored by Mrs. Priscilla A. Daudelin; and commissioned on 25 July 1944, Lt. C. W. Price in command.

During World War II, LST-1031 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific theater and participated in the assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto in May and June 1945. She returned to the United States and was decommissioned on 18 December 1945 and struck from the Navy list on 8 January 1946. On 23 October 1947, the ship was sold to the Boston Metals Corp., of Baltimore, Md., for scrapping.

LST-1031 earned one battle star for World War II service.
