Description: (American Coastal Steamer, 1894) Photographed prior to World War I. Formerly named Ruth, this steamer was acquired by the Navy on 13 September 1918 for use as a ferry. Following service as USS Atlantic (ID-3268), she was sold on 14 September 1921. The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
