Album of 144 snapshots of CDR and Mrs. Powell in Brazil, 1937-1939, while he was serving with the US Naval Mission to Brazil. Many of these views duplicate those in S-481-A. Subject matter consists of: Crossing the Line ceremonies (probably en route to Brazil in 1937); scenes in Rio De Janiero Harbor district (as seen seen from Powell’s apartment terrace); parties and events; general views and scenes in Rio; Gavea Golf and Country Club; various activities with friends and family.
