A Fine Evening on the USS Mustin
On my first day aboard USS Mustin (DDG-89) in 2014, the ship was steaming at high speed, fast enough that the watchstander had to grasp his cover to avoid losing it in the wind. The bow wave was roiling in the warm water of the Western Pacific. I felt like I was on a very large speedboat. I knew I had to paint this!
