World War I commemorative panel

WW1 Panel Presentation
Caption: (From Left to Right) Captain Matthew Kosnar, Commanding Officer of Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, formally receives a World War I commemorative panel from The Director of Naval History Rear Admiral Samuel Cox, USN (Ret.) during a ceremony on May 2, at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. The museum staff researched and designed the panel as part of the Naval History and Heritage Command's commemoration of World War I. Destroyer Force, Division Eight, of the Atlantic Fleet was created in response to America's declaration of war on Germany (April 2, 1917) and deployed from the York River shortly after.
