THE SUBMARINE FORCE MUSEUM

COMES TO YOU

The Submarine Force also reaches out to schools and communities around the southeastern Connecticut region. SFM Education staff can provide brief (30-45 minute) onsite presentations on the History of Submarines, Submarines in World War II, and How to Build a Submarine. These presentations are targeted towards general audiences and provide a great introduction to submarine history to prepare a class or organization to visit SFM.

The Submarine Force Museum can also bring educational activities out to various community events to engage the public. Allow us to add some STEM to your event with submarine-focused experiments and demonstrations that are designed for quick, impactful experiences. Note that SFM can only participate in events that have free admission, are open to the public, and do not promote an individual company. SFM participation is subject to staff availability.

To schedule an in-class presentation by SFM Education Staff or to discuss SFM participation in your event please contact the SFM Director of Education at (860) 694-4863.
