Description: WASHINGTON (July 23, 2015) Claudia Chemello and Paul Mardikian, conservators with TerraMare Conservation and SEARCH, perform some final adjustments on the now fully conserved Howell Mark I Torpedo No. 24. Lost from the Iowa (BB 4) during a training exercise and found by a dolphin team from the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program off the coast of San Diego, conservators have been preserving and studying the torpedo since May 2013.
